Vocational classes

Introduce the young performers to a wide variety of style, stretching abilities and developing technique to the necessary standard in preparation for further education post 16yrs. The school has strong links with some of the most highly regarded post 16yrs colleges in the country.

Guidance is given on career management along with the development of interview and audition techniques. Understanding of all aspects of the profession is educated vastly through examinations and developing skillful techniques for a successful career
Singing is developed to increase confidence enhance range, repertoire and breathing techniques. All pupils are encouraged to prepare solo work, which has a diverse range from Musical Theatre to commercial.

Acting, Pupils are introduced to various techniques in Singing and Drama working in addition on solo performance, vocal range, projection, elocution accent & dialect and
professional examinations. Script work and imaginative, receptive, natural and convincing performances are focused upon.

L.A.M.D.A. (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations are prepared for and many speeches in various styles built into a portfolio for each individual pupil. Pupils are taught Shakespeare, Improvisation, camera and film technique, use of various appropriate drama techniques and script reading and writing which also supports our studies in English, Expressive Arts, Media and GCSE Drama


Dance
is an integral part of school life and through carefully focused exercises and examination syllabus pupils develop a strong base of technique, balance, co-ordination, posture, style, flexibility and strength.

Musical Theatre
is part of the pupils? performance diary to expand their personality through a variety of public performances and charitable trust work whilst developing dynamic stage presence and experience.

I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance)
Examinations are prepared as a base of training in Modern Theatre, Classical Ballet and Tap dancing. Pupils are well equipped for any given choreography and performance opportunities that may arise. Qualifications are nationally recognized by QCA.

The school boasts specialist teachers and FISTD board examiners of the highest caliber.

Choreographers and guest professionals who are on the pulse of the industry teach commercial Jazz dance and Show Production.

R.A.D. Royal Academy of Dance,
Classical Ballet examinations are an important basis of the dance curriculum.
